Replacement of Chlorine Tank – Taroom Pool

⁠⁠⁠Banana Shire Council is seeking to engage a contractor to supply and fit a replacement Chlorine Tank at the Taroom Pool. All quotes will need to include:

• the removal and disposal of the existing tank and bund (the tank will be empty),

• supply and installation of the new tank

• ensuring all existing connections are reconnected and sealed

• consumables and materials

• any necessary travel and accommodation

Location: Yaldwyn Street, Taroom

The replacement must take place in our pool off season, from Mid May to end of July.

The tank must be a minimum of 1500L. We would like a tank that is as large as possible but are limited by the entry size for the location of the tank. The doorway access point to the placement of the tank is 1300mm in width and 2000mm high. The tank must be suitable to store sodium hypochlorite (Chlorine). Please see attached photos of current tank which has ruptured and must be replaced.

The tank must have a suitable size and shape bund for chlorine storage, Council would consider a self-bunded tank option. Photos of the entry and exit points into the tank are attached for reference, they will need to remain the same.

All works need to be completed in alignment with Australian Standards. Contractor is to provide all work method statements and risk management documentation.
