Boost your practices capability in responding to suicidal distress
Adelaide PHN is offering a grant‑funded opportunity for General Practices to participate in a targeted suicide prevention capacity building program delivered in partnership with the Black Dog Institute.
Up to 25 GPs will be supported in Round 1, with a potential second round later in 2026 (subject to demand).
Why Participate?
This program strengthens GP confidence and capability to recognise and respond to suicide risk through:
- Specialist suicide prevention training
- Coaching and connection sessions
- Improved pathways with local mental health and community services
Grant Funding
Practices will receive $3,000 ex GST per participating GP to support:
- Training and coaching time
- Evaluation activities
- Internal coordination and admin/backfill
Program Components
Delivered by Black Dog Institute & Adelaide PHN:
- Advanced Training in Suicide Prevention (full‑day workshop or two webinars)
- Coaching Session (2‑hour webinar + prep)
- Connection Session (3‑hour session)
Key Dates
- EOI Opens: Tuesday 17 March 2026
- Notification: Friday 17 April 2026
- Training Period: May – June 2026
- Project Completion: 30 June 2026
