Youth Justice Truck Monitoring Solution

⁠⁠⁠This procurement is for the supply of video recording solutions for 25 YJ transport vehicles, including hardware, software, and subscriptions for storing and retrieving safety related footage.

Project goals

Youth Justice is replacing an end-of-life video monitoring system. The new solution will support the safe and secure transportation of young people in custody by providing in-cell video monitoring and recording.

The solution will enable staff to: monitor the well-being of young people during transport; access footage of incidents for evidentiary purposes in a timely manner; and minimise down-time for vehicles during repairs and maintenance.

Scope

This procurement will provision hardware across the Youth Justice fleet of trucks; supported by a subscription-based software platform for video footage storage and retrieval services.

The scope required is;

1. Solution delivery including hardware and software for in-vehicle recording and monitoring, with the ability to access footage as needed. Additional capabilities such as GPS tracking, duress alarms and live-streaming will be considered.

2. Implementation and roll-out to 25 YJ vehicles (and to all new additional or replacement fleet vehicles as required).

3. Security testing and training as required.

4. Ongoing licencing and support as required.

To participate in this tender opportunity, suppliers will need to be registered as Advanced Suppliers to the ICT Services Scheme (SCM0020). Registration information can be found on the ICT Services Scheme page on Buy.NSW, under the ‘How To Supply’ tab (https://www.info.buy.nsw.gov.au/schemes/ict-services-scheme). Suppliers must be registered as Advanced Suppliers by the time the tender closes, which is estimated to be 23 June 2026. It is recommended that any non-registered suppliers commence this process as soon as possible to ensure their registration is complete by this time.
