The Digital Business Division (DBD) delivers retail digital services that support Australia’s export and biosecurity functions within the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Our mission is to make it easier for individuals and businesses to export Australia’s premium products, while safeguarding the nation by reducing biosecurity risks.
We work in close partnership with industry to co-design and deliver user-centred digital solutions that enhance the customer experience and simplify cross-border trade. Our capabilities are strengthened by a suite of business-focused data analytics and AI tools that enable informed, data-driven decision-making across strategic and operational domains.
Using proven agile methodologies, we continuously adapt and improve our products to meet evolving user needs. This approach supports more efficient and cost-effective regulatory and compliance processes, while enabling productive interactions across the export and biosecurity landscape.
DBD also plays a strategic advisory role, helping business partners identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies for improved outcomes. We are committed to enhancing and rationalising existing digital assets, promoting reuse and delivering greater capability, efficiency, and value.
To support this effort, we are seeking multiple Software Developers across a range of technology stacks and disciplines. These roles are vital in continuing to build, maintain, and enhancing mission-critical export & import systems used by millions of Australians.
