Project management support

Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) has procured an online training platform. The platform will host online training modules for members and directors of corporations to undertake training on corporate governance and aspects of the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act). These modules will provide information to directors and members about their responsibilities and rights. For directors, modules will also explain their duties and obligations under the CATSI Act.

There will also be the opportunity in the future to offer native title modules through the platform to help common law holders and Registered Native Title Bodies Corporate (RNTBCs) understand:

• the interaction between the CATSI Act and Native Title Act 1993
• obligations of RNTBCs, including to common law holders.

These modules are being developed by ORIC. A suite of topics in planned for the launch of the online learning platform in July 2026.

The platform will be accessible through ORIC’s online portal. People will be able to log in using their account or as a guest. For those people who log in using their account, they will have a consolidated ORIC training record accessible available on their portal account. This record will not only show their completion of online training modules but also other types of training they have completed. Integration is required to enable this capability.

Project management is required to ensure the modules are developed and portal integration has been completed in time for the launch.
