Tender Description

Mudgee Arts Precinct is seeking sponsorship for its third biennial portrait prize, opening 27 November 2026 and running until 21 February 2027

Returning after two highly successful exhibitions, the Mudgee Arts Precinct Portrait Prize has attracted more than 26,000 visitors and showcased 150 exceptional finalists selected from over 500 entries. As one of our most anticipated and well‑attended events, the MAP Portrait Prize generates compelling community engagement – bringing together artists, families, schools, local businesses and visitors from across Australia.

Sponsors receive strong and sustained visibility through deep community participation, prominent exhibition branding and signage, and recognition at key event moments, including a highlighted presence at the official opening. Your support becomes part of the visitor experience throughout this much‑loved regional event.

Portraiture holds broad appeal; it celebrates identity, tells local stories, and reflects the people who shape our region. By supporting this Prize, your organisation becomes part of that story.

Most importantly, sponsorship directly supports artists. Prizes, exposure, and professional recognition can be transformative – especially for emerging and regional creatives. Your partnership helps ensure local stories continue to be seen, shared and celebrated.
