Our Fairer Future Plan Phase 2

Scope:

The purpose of this project is to identify opportunities to deliver diverse housing opportunities in the Inner West which are well located and well-integrated with the existing urban fabric of the Inner West. The project will also provide an alternative proposition to the NSW Government’s LMRH policy to achieve better locally based outcomes for the Inner West community within the investigation area.

These changes will complement OFFP Phase 1 and State-led planning work to collectively guide future growth across the LGA.

Required deliverables

The required deliverables for this study include:

• Masterplan and Urban Design Framework

• Local Environmental Plan (LEP) amendment:

- LEP mapping

- Revision or addition to the Our Fairer Future Plan Alternate Approach Document (Blue Book)

• Design Guide/ DCP amendment: site-specific controls for uplift areas and key sites

Note: The Design Guide will inform the Council’s Development Control Plan (DCP). These outputs will contribute to a consolidated LGA-wide planning controls package.
