Installation, Replacement & Removal of Radio Tower Equipment for NSW Police Force

Seeking to create an approved supplier panel suitably capable and experienced organisations to install, replace, and remove radio tower equipment in NSW.

Project goals:

Engage capable and experienced organisations to install, replace, and remove radio tower equipment for the NSW Police Force through to 30 June 2027, as part of an approved supplier panel bound by the Advanced Terms of SCM0053 - Operational Telecommunications Equipment, Infrastructure and Services.

Scope:

NSW Police Force’s land mobile radio telecommunications network is a critical component of the organisation’s ICT infrastructure and serves as the primary communication channel for frontline operational police in delivering services to the community. Accordingly, a robust and reliable radio telecommunications service is essential to support the NSW Police Force’s 24/7/365 operational requirements.

As part of addressing issues associated with end-of-life equipment within the network, the NSW Police Force is undertaking work to instal, replace and removal of radio tower equipment, across several radio sites to ensure continued support for policing services in Regional NSW.

The proposed works under this program span a broad geographic area across New South Wales.

NSW Police Force proposes to complete radio tower works through the use of an approved supplier panel and agreed set of base requirements in accordance with the site-specific Statement of Work. This panel is to remain active up until 30 June 2027 or until the migration to the Public Safety Network (PSN) - whichever occurs earlier.

Under the proposed radio tower works NSW Police Force will supply a range of equipment include core elements in accordance with the relevant Statements of Work, such as;

• Antennas,

• Antenna mounting brackets,

• Cables,

• Lightning suppressors,

• Connectors,

• Earthing kits,

• Snapstack hangers, and

• Glands

Some additional materials will need to be supplied by the supplier as detailed in the relevant Statements of Work, such as:

• Amalgamating tape, electrical tape,

• Stainless steel cable ties, and

• Stainless Steel cable marker plates and punch.
