Tender Description

The major output of this work is for the contractor to investigate the reason for the lighting fault, rectify the fault and restore the existing lighting to working order using non-destructive methods within a heritage listed, highly touristed reserve. This may include repair or replacement of lighting poles, luminaires or lamps.

Council is looking for a complete solution, not supply of product separate from electrical work.

Hepburn Shire Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to locate and repair the lighting along the identified paths within the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve (HMSR).

Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve is a 30 hectare reserve nestled amongst a larger regional park setting. It is home to several historic and popular Mineral Springs, the premium commercial facility Hepburn Bathhouse, a café, play areas, walking tracks and picnic areas.

The walking paths within Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve have heritage style light poles and fittings that provide low level lighting for aesthetics and wayfinding. The lighting has ceased working due to age and subsurface soil conditions. The purpose of works described in this brief is to reinstate the lighting as a wayfinding tool.

NOTE: Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve is a heritage listed place and all works must be respectful of the heritage place. Any poles, fixtures or fittings that are to be replaced must be with like materials. Where possible, poles, fixtures and fitting should be refurbished.
