Hinchinbrook Shire Council (“the Principal”) invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the design and construct delivery of the JL Kelly Theatre and Hinchinbrook Aquatic Centre Remediation Works.
The Works comprise insurance reinstatement works associated with water ingress, contamination exposure, and deterioration of building finishes, fixtures, equipment, and external facility elements. The intent of the Works is to restore the affected assets to a condition equal to or better than pre-damage condition, unless otherwise directed by the Principal.
The Contract will be delivered under a Design and Construct (D&C) model, with the Contractor accepting full responsibility for investigation, verification of existing conditions, design (where required), coordination, construction, certification, commissioning, and handover of the Works.
The Works are to be undertaken within live community facilities that may remain partially operational during delivery. Tenderers shall allow for staging, public interface management, and coordination with Council operations to minimise disruption to community services and facility users.
