This RFI is an information gathering process in which SALHN seeks to collect information and opinions from digital health technology companies and advice from other hospitals across Australia.
The Nursing Allocation Digital Visualisation Tool initiative responds to ongoing challenges in managing staffing complexity, particularly around relieving staff, shortages, and tracking staff movements across wards.
This live “Nursing Allocation Digital Visualisation Tool” must incorporate nurse classification, patient numbers, Nursing Hours per Patient Day (NHPPD), ratios (when implemented), and patient ‘acuity/specialling’. It is also desirable for the dashboard to identify staff with additional skills and training for specific allocation purposes. The goal is to allow real-time visualisation of data captured in existing systems, to enable clinical and operational leaders to make timely, proactive, evidence-based staffing decisions and allocations in one location.
