Wheal Ellen Containment Cell Leachate Extraction

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage is responsible for the Northampton Lead Tailings Project (NLTP). This project has consisted of systematic townsite assessments of lead tailings within the Northampton townsite, townsite tailings remediation and construction of a Permanent Containment Cell (PCC) for tailings encapsulation at the former Wheal Ellen mine site. 

The Customer is seeking a single Contractor for the extraction of up to 150 KL of leachate, and safe transport and disposal of leachate in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and Environmental Protection (Controlled Waste) Regulations 2004.
