Tender Description
The 75-hectare Honey Farm Sport and Recreation Precinct was purchased by council in 2011 to provide long term sport and recreation opportunities in the southern end of the Sunshine Coast Local Government Area.
Stage 1 of the Honey Farm Sport and Recreation Precinct project is for the transformation of a greenfield site in one of Australia’s fastest growing regional Local Government Areas in Southeast Queensland, into an all-abilities sports, outdoor recreation, healthy living, and community events space.
The Stage 1 civil construction works is nearing completion and Council is now seeking to procure the building works for a multi-use clubhouse and public amenities building which forms part of this project stage.
Council is seeking the services of appropriately qualified and experienced building Contractor/s to undertake the construction of the following buildings.
The scope of works includes, but is not limited to:
1. Separable Portion 1 - Construction of Multi Clubhouse
2. Separable Portion 2 - Resolution of Detailed Design and Construction of Public Amenities Building.
It is Council’s preference to engage one Contractor to undertake the entire construction program of works but reserves the right to award each separable portion to individual contractors.
The successful Contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour, and to perform all necessary operations of whatever kind, to ensure the completion of works associated with this Contract.
It is anticipated that works will commence Mid-April 2026. Due to conditional funding agreements functional completion of both buildings is required no later than December 2026.
