Preliminary and Detailed Design: Box Drain Stormwater First Flush Basin and Wetland Treatment Facility

The procurement is for the preliminary and detailed design of a first flush basin and wetland treatment facility for the Woodend Box Drain.

WDC are working alongside the local Iwi (Ngai Tuahuriri who is represented by Whitiora) who will co -design the treatment solution with Council. The options assessment and feasibility stage of this project have been completed. There has been significant work undertaken in the feasibility stage, including preliminary groundwater modelling assessment and hydraulic assessments. Following the completion of the feasibility report, it was determined that the concept design will not proceed as a separate phase.

Instead, this work will be incorporated directly into the preliminary and detailed design stages. This scope for preliminary and detailed design will be tendered as a single contract and awarded to one consultant through this tender process.
