Swansea Bridge Pipeline Condition Assessment

Swansea Bridge is a critical transport and infrastructure link within the Lake Macquarie region, supporting both road traffic and essential utility services. In addition to its transport function, the bridge accommodates several Hunter Water assets that form part of the broader water and wastewater network.

Hunter Water also owns the Trans Lake Treated Effluent Pipe, which conveys treated effluent from the Toronto Wastewater Treatment Plant to Carey Bay before crossing the lake to the Green Point Foreshore Reserve.

No condition Assessments have been undertaken on the majority of the bridge crossing, or the submerged section within the last 5+ years.

The work under this Contract encompasses the inspection and condition assessment of the nominated pipelines located within Swansea Bridge and the Trans Lake Treated Effluent pipe.
