Purpose
To provide a comprehensive framework for change management around speed, specifically taking account of community understanding and perceptions, including socio-psycological insights.
Scope:
The project will be undertaken in two stages. The first phase will include a review stage comprising a structured literature review, an examination of community attitudes on speed management, and stakeholder consultation. This task is intended to better understand community perspectives, through psychological insights and knowledge of proven communication methods to influence public. The second phase will involve the development and testing of messaging, and the preparation of guidance materials including a supplementary resource toolkit for use by road managers and other stakeholders.
Deliverables:
This project will produce the following deliverables:
- Research Report with guidance on speed management guidance
- A resource ‘toolkit’ with materials to support speed management engagement
- Webinar on project findings
