Tennant Creek Region - Tablelands Highway - Reinstate Pavement and Shoulders at Various Locations

⁠⁠⁠The works are situated along the Tableland Highway within the Barkly Region, positioned between the Carpentaria Highway and the Barkly Highway. The works covers multiple locations extending from Chainage (CH) 52.00 km to Chainage (CH) 130.88 km.

A general outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract consists of repairs, reconstruct and restoration of the flood damage roads occurred by ex-tropical cyclone Megan.

Tablelands Highway was impacted by Tropical Low (cyclone) in March 2024 which has damaged the pavement and shoulders in various locations. Tablelands Highway is an essential public asset. The contract is to undertake Repairs and Restoration of the various flood damaged sections of Tablelands Highway, including but not limited to pavement formation, stabilization, spray seal, improving the table drains and batter slopes to preflood conditions.
