Gibson Island Project - Supply of Effluent Water Treatment and Handling

At the time of publishing this invitation to register an interest, the supply includes the design, manufacture, pre-assembly, testing, supply, and site support for installation / commissioning of Effluent Water Treatment & Handling.

The Effluent Water Treatment & Handling package will receive effluents from the following:

• Softener reject water from the water treatment system

• Reverse Osmosis (RO) waste from the water treatment system which includes RO membrane cleaning in place effluent and Electro De-Ionization (EDI) cleaning in place effluent

• Blowdown from the cooling water blowdown treatment package

• Backwash from the cooling water side stream filter; and

• Condensate water from the closed drains system.

The supply is envisaged to include the following infrastructure:

• Oily water treatment inclusive of retention tanks/separators

• Chemical treatment inclusive of dosing systems and storage

• Discharge pumps; and

• Neutralisation and effluent storage tanks.

The flows discharged from this system shall be suitable to meet the requirements set out by Urban Utilities, categorised as trade waste. This return service is governed by the Trade Waste Acceptance Criteria, publicly available on the Urban Utilities website.

The supply must comply with all relevant Australian Standards. The Project, including this package AUS1004P0010 Effluent Water Treatment & Handling is subject to internal approvals. The procurement process or scope may change at Gibson Island H2’s election, including to accommodate project budget and time requirements.
