Tender Description
Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) requires a suitably qualified Contractor to:
• Construct a 6m wide level crossing over Queensland Rail (QR) rail lines within QR rail corridor,
• Directional drilling and installation of an envelope pipe under the existing Queensland rail lines next to the level crossing,
• Fabricate and install new galvanised steel cattle rail fence and gates within the QR rail corridor as per the drawings.
The works referred to above will support the operation of the new spelling yard facilities added to the north of the existing Emerald Saleyards, Queensland.
The successful Contractor will be required to apply for a rail line shutdown for the duration of the works. QR is aware of the anticipated works and will be overseeing the works on site along the Council to ensure a successful outcome. QR will also supply a Rail Protection Officer for the duration of the works.
Tenderers will be required to provide evidence of prequalification as Queensland Rail Panel Contractor to undertake the works. Contractor will be required to confirm with all the QR regulations, standards, and specifications.
