Policy and Planning Technical Advisor Disaster Risk Management - Fiji

The New Zealand Government has partnered with the Government of Fiji and stakeholders to provide specialist policy and planning advice to the Government of Fiji to discharge core Disaster Risk reduction Functions, (including planning, training, guidelines, exercises) and Disaster Risk Management functions (including projects, operations, coordination, communications, logistics, assessments, information management) that would support improved national and community-level resilience across Fiji

This role will assist the Government of Fiji and stakeholders to provide specialist technical policy and planning advice to support the Government of Fiji to discharge core DRR functions, (including planning, training, guidelines, risk analysis) and DRM functions (including projects, operations, coordination, communications, logistics, assessments, information management) that would support improved national and community-level resilience across Fiji

The initial assignment will be for 12 -months full-time (potential two 12 month extension) with an anticipated start in Jan 2020, this role is located in Suva, Fiji, with travel to the provinces
