Black & More, on behalf of Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School – Thursday Island, invites appropriately qualified builders to submit tenders for the construction of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School – Thursday Island – New Build.
The project consists of the construction of a new canteen (F Block), a new two-story multipurpose building (E Block), and renovations to the existing A Block. The general summary is as follows:
F Block
- Demolish existing amenities and replace with new canteen; covered lunch area; walkways; and ramps
E Block
- Demolish the existing multipurpose court and replace it with a new two-story building to include space for the following:
- Prep Teaching Spaces
- Amenities
- General Learning Areas
- Elevator
A Block:
- Upgrade existing A Block to include:
- New amenities adjoining existing student amenities
- Convert the existing GLA into a staff lounge
- Upgrade existing amenities and breezeway
- Convert the existing prep area into a staff working area
- Upgrade existing reception and store area
