Tender Description
Barkly Regional Council (Principal) requires the Contractor to supply and install LED street luminaires and associated fittings to replace the existing non–LED street luminaires in Alpurrurulam, Ampilatwatja and Wutunugurra, located within the Barkly Region to improve energy efficiency, lighting performance, public safety, and long-term maintenance outcomes.
A recent audit of street lighting assets identified that many of the existing luminaires are either non-operational or rely on outdated non–LED technology, resulting in reduced illumination levels, higher energy consumption, and increased maintenance requirements.
Based on the audit data, the proposed LED upgrade quantities are as follows:
- Ampilatwatja – 19 luminaires
- Alpurrurulam – 50 luminaires
- Wutunugurra – 11 luminaires
This upgrade forms part of Council's broader commitment to delivering reliable, energy-efficient infrastructure that enhances safety and amenity for residents while reducing operational and maintenance costs.
The Principal invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to submit tenders for the supply and installation of LED street luminaires and associated works in accordance with the requirements of this tender document.
