Tender Description
The Burragundy Road causeway across the Coolaburragundy River provides access to a property located at the end of Burragundy Road. Vehicle access across the causeway is difficult due to significant surface scouring.
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing damaged causeway with a new 6m wide 40m long concrete causeway which goes across both the streams.
The scope of works for this project includes roadworks in the following list:
- Preparation of QA management plans as listed in the Preliminaries document and listed below in Section 1.3.2
- Structural design of pavement slab (causeway) and two cutoff walls, according to the geometric design supplied by the council.

- Site set out.
- Establishment and maintenance of soil and water management control measures.
- Removal of trees if required.
- Construction of a one lane sidetrack for diversion of traffic.
- Maintenance of sidetrack for the duration of construction.
- Demolition of the existing causeway
- Foundation preparation for the causeway.
- Supplying, laying and compaction of approved import granular fill with compaction testings.
- Construct reinforced concrete pavement slab and cutoff walls (Causeway).
- Supply and installation of rock protection.
- Regarding and merging the approaches.
- Traffic management.
- Removal and disposal off site waste concrete and excess soil.
The works must be undertaken in accordance with all Permit Conditions issued under the Fisheries Management Act 1994.
A Non mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held on 20th of May, at 11a.m and at Burragundy Road (On site)
