Council is calling for expressions of interest to be involved in this year’s Ku-ring-gai Arts and Cultural Festival.
The festival celebrates our diverse and thriving arts and cultural community, with a program of events from 18 June to 24 July.
Events include local exhibitions, theatre performances, arts and creative workshops and film screenings.
Ku-ring-gai Mayor Christine Kay said the festival aims to increase the awareness of arts and culture in our region, while supporting local artists and creatives.
“We are fortunate to have thriving arts and cultural community, with a range of wonderful community groups, talented artists and performers, galleries and schools,” Mayor Kay said.
“The Ku-ring-gai Arts and Cultural Festival shines a spotlight on these amazing groups and individuals and helps to increase participation in arts and culture.
“I encourage everyone to warm up their winter by participating in this fabulous festival.”
Council is accepting submissions for a variety of activities and events including:
- workshops and creative classes
- live performances and entertainment
- art demonstrations and exhibitions
- cultural showcases
- interactive experiences and community activations
- open days
- talks, presentations and creative installations.
