Civil works upgrade at an existing concrete regulator, performed in a staged sequence to limit site risks.
Project goals
- To minimise piping risks at the regulator
- reduce the possibility of asset complete rebuild, increase the life expectancy and integrity of the asset
- reduce the risk of storage water losses
Scope
Engage a Principal Contractor to construct civil upgrade works at an existing concrete regulator in a staged sequence of works to limit the amount of work areas opened during construction and thereby enable a rapid temporary protection of those areas should flood waters impact the site. The work will involve project management and quality control, construction of site facilities, creation of access tracks, vegetation/tree removal, construction of temporary cofferdams and dewatering, sheetpiling, reinforced concrete construction, rip rap removal and installation, instrumentation and testing, assisting the Principal with management of dam safety tasks and remediation of the site on works completion.
