McIntyre Playground Renewal 2026

⁠⁠⁠The Contract Works are for the renewal of a playground at McIntyre Avenue Playground, 25A McIntyre Avenue, Fenton Park, Rotorua 3010 which are to be completed by Friday the 31st of July 2026.The works comprise of the install of a new playground, equipments, and landscaping.

The preference is for site to be closed for a maximum allowance of 45 calendar days. Council must be notified 2 weeks prior to works commencing so the public can also be notified.

The Contractor is responsible for all works detailed in the technical specification.

Landscape works included in this construction are for the supply of all: labour, materials, quality assurance, as-built drawings and incidentals necessary for:

1. Supply and installation of landscape features in the playground including lime chip cycle track and access paths, bark cushion-fall areas around play equipment, concrete pads and surrounds for picnic tables, play equipment (install only), edging, and planting. If in doubt, the construction drawing will prevail.
2. Removal of existing swings.
3. Liaising with playground companies, regarding the timing of the delivery of selected playground equipment.

Tenderers are advised that the principal, reserves the right to vary the scale of the works to fit within the constraints of the available funding for this project.

Attending the planned site visit is recommended for tendering for this contract.
