Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Corporation of the City of Adelaide (ABN 20 903 762 572) (the Council) invites EOIs for Kerbside Waste, Bulk Bin, Recycling and Organics Collection (the Supplies). For more detail on the Supplies see Section D of this REOI. The Council is bound by its Procurement Policy in releasing this REOI and conducting the REOI Process.

Scope:

Bulk Bin – Multi Unit Dwellings Services – 105 serviced properties (current as of April 2026)

Residential Kerbside Collection Services: 10,900 serviced premises (current as of April 2026)

Small Business Kerbside Services: 2100 serviced premises (current as of April 2026)

Community Groups: 26 serviced premises (current as of April 2026)

Residential Kerbside Service

Council currently provides a regular kerbside waste collection service to residents for:

• General waste (140 litre red lidded bin) – collected weekly.

• Comingled recycling (140 or 240 litre yellow lidded bin) – collected fortnightly; and

• Organics (140 or 240 litre green lidded bin) – collected fortnightly.

• 2 x 2m3 pre-booked collections per household each calendar year (if requested).

Small Business Kerbside Service

Council offers a kerbside waste and recycling service to businesses that have small amounts of waste and recycling:

• General waste (140 litre red lidded bin(s)) – weekly.

• Comingled recycling (240-litre yellow lidded bin(s)) – fortnightly; and

• Commercial cardboard – 0.25m3 of buddled clean cardboard – weekly (excluded from this EOI process).

Bulk Bin Service – Multi Unit Dwellings

Council offers a bulk bin waste and recycling service to multi-unit dwellings that have the capacity to store one weeks' worth of waste and recycling:

• General Waste (660 or 1100 litre red lidded bin(s)) – weekly.

• Comingled recycling (660 or 1100 litre yellow lidded bin(s)) – weekly; and

• Organics (240 litre green lidded bin) – weekly

• Hard Waste – up to 12 x 2m3 collections for multi-unit dwellings with 7 or more dwellings or for multi- unit dwellings bellow 6 dwellings each household is able to book 2 x 2m3 collections per calendar year.

Community Groups

Council offers to a small number of community groups across the city and parklands areas a general waste service:

• General waste (4 x 240 litre red lidded bin(s)) – weekly.

Illegal Dumping

The contractor is engaged on a regular basis to also arrange for illegally dumped rubbish located in the public realm as part of the hard waste service.

General Waste Disposal

This item is excluded from the EOI process.
