Provision of Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Architecture Review and Optimisation
Tender ID: 611172
Tender Details
Tender Description
This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) seeks quotations for a targeted independent assessment of TPB’s Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/OneLake) and Power BI environment to rapidly identify root causes of current performance, refresh reliability and access/permissions issues, validate the end‑to‑end architecture (from Lakehouse through semantic models to reports) against Microsoft best practice, and deliver practical, prioritised recommendations (including governance guardrails) and next‑phase actions.
The Statement of Requirement is intended to be delivered as twelve (12) business days of total effort, completed within an elapsed period of 10 business days from commencement (with flexibility), with any redesign/implementation, deeper investigation, detailed target‑state documentation and formal knowledge transfer handled as a follow‑on engagement.
Scope of services
This assessment will confirm objectives and priority focus areas, then review the current reporting and data platform to understand how it is performing and where key issues may be occurring.
The work will be time-boxed to the most material areas and provide a concise summary of findings and a prioritised set of practical recommendations and next steps aligned to good practice.
Deliverables (Full list of deliverables attached in the SoR)
Deliverables will include an executive-ready consolidated assessment report (PowerPoint) focused on Power BI optimisation—covering current-state observations, key performance/refresh drivers, relevant capacity considerations, and a prioritised recommendations roadmap—with only high-level Fabric architecture, security and governance observations where directly relevant.
Indicative timeframe
Suppliers should propose a realistic schedule based on their approach.
