Supply and Installation of Solar PV and Battery Storage Systems - Temora, NSW 2666
Temora Shire Council is a Local Government Organisation in the Riverina region of New South Wales (2666) and is situated within the Southwest Slopes area of Wiradjuri Council approximately 80km from Wagga Wagga, 150km from Canberra and 450km from Sydney.
Temora Shire Council (the Principal) is seeking to install solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at two of its operational facilities. These installations form part of Council’s commitment to reducing energy costs and improving energy resilience across its infrastructure portfolio. Site 1 is Temora Recreation Center with a 49.5kW Solar and 80kWh battery. Site 2 is Temora Sewage Treatment Plant with a 39.9kW solar and 78kWh battery. A ley requirement of this project is the operation of both battery and solar systems as part of a Virtual Power Plant (VPP).
Temora Shire Council is aiming for the system to be operational for Site 1 by 30 June 2026 and for Site 2 by 21 December 2026.
