Hinchinbrook Shire Council is progressing essential civil infrastructure upgrades through the Stallan Street Kerb and Channel Renewal Program (Contract No. HSC 26/01), with tenders now invited from suitably qualified contractors.
The project will deliver improvements to drainage performance, road safety and overall asset condition along Stallan Street in Ingham, supporting long-term reliability of Council’s road network.
Scope of Works
The works will involve demolition, reconstruction and reinstatement of kerb and channel infrastructure and associated civil works, including:
- Removal and replacement of existing kerb and channel
- Earthworks, excavation and subgrade preparation
- Installation of stabilised bedding materials and new concrete kerb
- Reconnection of stormwater drainage services
- Replacement of culverts and drainage structures
- Turfing, topsoil placement and reinstatement of disturbed areas
- Traffic and pedestrian management throughout the works
The works are designed to enhance stormwater management, reduce localised flooding risks, and improve safety outcomes for road users and pedestrians.
