Gosch’s Paddock Pitch Upgrade RFT

The Project and its objectives

Gosch's 1b sports field is one of Melbourne Parks four training surfaces. It is a rectangular pitch and hosts one of Melbourne Park’s key tenants for all their training sessions including academy and women's squads.

The field is a surface that has contains historic soil profiles with the objective to now build the surface to a best practice operational specification with new in-ground services, improved drainage, and natural turf that improves sporting activity.

The objectives of the project are to:

• Improve soil drainage

• Improve the sub surface soil structure

• Improve surface leveling for drainage and playability purposes

• Potential reconfiguration of pitch shape to improve sporting tenant requirements

• Improve sporting performance
