Supply, install, maintain and support a digital connectivity solution for passenger and staff Wi-Fi that delivers compliant hardware, software and data, plus an NRF On Board Entertainment solution

Project goals

• Enhanced passenger experience - Fast and reliable Wi-Fi and OBE to improve amenity, comfort, convenience and satisfaction for regional passengers.
• Safety improvements - Train crew can reliably communicate with rail operations and emergency services, reducing incident response times.
• Operational efficiency - Stable Wi-Fi enables integration with onboard systems including Point of Sale, reducing lost revenue and boasting staff effectiveness.
• Bridging digital divide - Regional communities' and visitors benefit from improved connectivity while travelling, aligning with government priorities.
• Revenue growth - Opportunities for alternate income streams such as advertising, sponsorship and premium Wi-Fi tiers.

Scope

NSWT is seeking to provide passengers and staff with Wi-Fi capability by enabling digital connectivity across its regional train fleets to improve customer experience, operational efficiency and service competitiveness, while ensuring more modern transport services. Additionally an On Board Entertainment solution will be sought from the market for the New Regional Fleet.
