Tender Description
AMSA deploys Drift Modelling Buoys (DMBs) containing Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology to measure maritime drift.
DMBs are dispatched from both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft of various sizes and configurations and are required to operate reliably across a broad range of environmental and operational conditions. The flight profiles under which DMBs may be deployed include from fixed-wing Challenger aircraft travelling at up to 200KIAS (knots indicated air speed).

Timeframe for Delivery:
The resultant contract is expected to commence on 6 August 2026 for an initial term of 5 years.
Delivery timeframes determined by negotiation.
