Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Berrigan Shire Council (BSC) is the supplier of water and wastewater services for the Barooga region. BSC owns and operates the Barooga WTP, which provides potable water to the townships of Barooga.
BSC is committed to the upgrade of Barooga WTP and the construction of a new dissolved air flotation filtration (DAFF) treatment train and associated upgrades. The new Barooga WTP shall be constructed at Lot 332 on DP626847 on 27-29 Buchanans Road, Barooga NSW 3644, which is located on land owned by BSC.
The scope of the project involves the construction of a new additional 1.0 ML/d DAFF train to increase the treated water production design capacity to a total of 2 ML/day. The treatment process must include the following process unit operations and associated chemicals:
(1) Upgrade raw water pump station and raw water pipework to the inlet of the new plant;
(2) Organics removal (PAC);
(3) Coagulation (Liquid ACH);
(4) Coagulant Aid Polymer dosing;
(5) Flocculation;
(6) DAFF including filter backwashing;
(7) UV Disinfection;
(8) Disinfection (Sodium hypochlorite gas);
(9) Fluoridation (Sodium fluoride);
(10) pH correction (Soda Ash);
(11) Treated water pump station and treated water pipework to onsite 1 ML treated water reservoir;
(12) Wash water balancing and settling;
(13) Sludge settling and supernatant return;
(14) Sludge disposal.
